Would Jesus wear a "Christian" T-shirt?

WWJD in regards to Christian apparel? I would venture to say He would never wear it. Think about this for a moment. Almost all the supposed "Christian" t-shirts take popular name brand and "Christianize" them. So, you have CC (Calvin Cline) changed into JC (Jesus Christ). This is also seen with "abercrombie and fitch" becoming through the magic of "redeemed" marketing "A bread crumb and a fish." Nice, eh... Oh, and my personal favorite, "Bud wise up" printed on a familiar Budweiser logo. This goes on and on, with every conceivable pop cultural reference being "baptized" by Christian retailers in the hopes of fulfilling the Great Commission, while also gaining a little profit for themselves.

Another thing, what of reverence? Is it right to equate the "name above all names" with that of name brand clothing and adult beverages? Is this not making something holy into something vulgar? I think we all know the answer to that question, or should.

Peace Out

BCH
